Buterere 5th Harvest

It’s Harvest Time! Our 5th Rice harvest at the Buterere Community Garden is complete. On May 28th, our sponsored families harvested 2 tonnes of rice. 60% of crops will be sold, 20% will be kept by the families for own use, 20% of seeds from crops retained for the next families.

Carrying out our model in sustainability and teamwork. The garden has made an enormous difference in the lives of our participants, the harvest will enable them to eat regular meals and have enough left over to supply a small Business.
